What is Campus to Community?

Campus to Community is a collaborative program connecting Red Deer Polytechnic students with local not-for-profits and community organizations to complete real, skills-based projects.
Organizations gain access to fresh ideas, digital support, and capacity-building resources. Students gain hands-on, work-integrated learning experience. Together, we bring important community work into the spotlight.
Possible Projects may include:

COMPLIANCE AND LEGAL SUPPORT
Ensuring adherence to labor laws, regulations, and industry standards, as well as providing legal guidance on HR-related matters.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
Mediation and resolution of workplace conflicts, as well as guidance on employee relations issues and policies.

Is there a cost to participate?
No. Campus to Community is a no-cost program for selected not-for-profits and community organizations.
What types of projects are eligible?
Marketing, communications, design, digital media, research, and storytelling projects with clear, achievable outcomes.
Will I need to supervise the students?
No. Students are supported by faculty and industry mentors, but you will provide guidance, context, and feedback.
What if my project changes?
Projects can be adjusted early in the process as long as they stay within the students' skill sets and timeline.
